I feel like this is a daily occurrence, but when in Hawaii it's hard not to have everyday beach days. When I look at all of the "stars" on my apple maps it is based upon beaches, no joke. I have constantly been searching for fellow bloggers who have been to Maui & mapping all of their recommendations. Whether it be where to see whales...which is literally everywhere right now, there is no bad view! Or it be where to see sea turtles from the beach, etc. there are so many awesome blogs out there when you google it.
Today we had a low key day, poolside & oceanside. In the morning we had breakfast at Slappy Cakes, a breakfast place not too far from our resort. If you're in the area I highly recommend!
We did a little shopping by the Westin Resort and Spa today in a shopping center called Whaler's Village. Then, back to the beach.
Finley went boogie boarding, the waves were incredible today. Rowan was collecting coral up and down the beach and making a structure. Ro hasn't been a huge fan of the ocean, she would much rather be in the pool, but she tries to make the best of the sand and staying busy. Finley loves the ocean, she loves the pool, but she would choose ocean in a heartbeat. Lennox, she loved the ocean at first, but when a wave knocked her down she became very hesitant. She loved playing in the sand with all of the sand toys, but like Ro she would much rather be in the pool.
Sitting on the beach, watching the waves crash in, fish flying through the air, jumping out of the water right in front of us, good conversations, watching whales breech, blow holes, fins splashing...It is never a dull moment on the beaches of Maui. Today we finally got to see sea turtles right from the beach, in the shallows...today we felt like we had seen everything on our bucket list & truly made the trip feel "complete".
After a fun-filled day in the sun, it was time for baths, pj's, The Greatest Showman & bed.
That's all for now.
