I thought I would try something different, talk about our upcoming Spring Break Vacation versus making just a post about the recap of our vacation. I thought it would be fun to see the "plans" and then a recap to show what actually happened! Because as we all know I can have a well executed plan & life happens and plans are changed!
For our spring break trip this year we are heading to Gatlinburg, TN. We are heading to the Smoky Mountains...my heart can't wait!! On the list as of now for the plans, we have Dollywood, Pirates Dinner & Hot Springs. I haven't researched it all down to a "T" yet, but I knew I needed to get our Dollywood tickets purchased and reserve our dinner show.
When planning a vacation...Do you research on your own? Do you pay a travel agent to find things for you? Do you go with zero plans and figure it out once you get there? I definitely have started to research for our trips, primarily because I don't want to miss the "must see" things. I feel like if I just go with the flow I miss some of the most exciting things, also I like to find the "local" spots, not all the touristy things. When we went to Hawaii I made sure to read several Maui Blogs because I felt like they shared the diamonds in the rough, the less busy beaches, the best beaches to see Sea Turtles etc. I plan to do the same with Gatlinburg area. Although, I know this will most likely be a frequent spot for us, since we live so close, I want to make sure that we enjoy it for our first trip.
Definitely need to do some of the touristy things, but I'm hoping for great weather so we can enjoy the outdoors and the mountain life! If you have been, I would love for you to share some of the stops that are a "MUST" or trips and tricks for the area. I have been told by everyone that it is so beautiful, a lot of fun, but expensive! I am picturing Disney World pricing for this trip, but I don't know what to expect. I guess we will see when we get there!
Any advice, tips, or tricks send them my way!!
That's all for now.
XOXO- KK
