This morning the guys went golfing again & we went to my cousins resort to check out their pool. They are staying at the Papakea Resort in Kahana & it has gorgeous views! {I don’t think there are any bad views on this island to be honest}
The kids swam for a while, then we went back to our resort for naps as we had our Luau in the evening and I wanted all attitudes and emotions in check! Josh and I went hit up a few shops while my mom stayed back with the girls. Our mission: to find our matching t-shirts for our group family picture that we do on every trip! We were successful after many shops! On the way back to the resort the rental van we had decided it had enough. It stalled out at the stoplight!
Luckily, Josh was able to get it started to get out of the intersection and to an ABC store/gas station. That is where it sat! Thankfully the car rental company we went through was amazing, they came to get stalled our vehicle & dropped new one off for us at the Luau parking lot! We went through Manaloha Rent a Car in Maui. They have phenomenal customer service & I will recommend them to anyone traveling to Maui. I am all about supporting local businesses & when it came to renting through Sergio at Manaloha Rent a Car he had exceptional prices, great customer services, and although the vehicles weren’t brand new they drove us all around the island & our replacement van was driven to us within an hour an half from the opposite side of the island! They even went out of their way to deliver the van to our current location at the Luau! Talk about great service!
{out with the old, haha}
We went to The Myth of Maui Luau at the Royal Lahaina Resort in the evening! What an experience! A great spread of food, unlimited island drinks & a great show! I loved the variety of cultures that they displayed in their show, it was such a great experience for adults & children! They taught everyone how to properly do the hula! It was so fun to watch the girls dance & then to see Lenny dancing with her hips and hands the entire night! I took a video, which might be a little dark as I didn’t want to draw attention & have her stop dancing!
We went with my family that was traveling in Maui, so we had a table for 12, lots of laughter!
There are so many Luau options, but I definitely would recommend the Luau we attended, especially if you have children! Ages 6 and under are free with adult admission tickets, which is a great savings for families traveling with young children!
That’s all for now!
