Blogging. Let’s start by saying I am by no means a professional writer. My grammar, punctuation...well it‘s not my strong suit. That weakness is what has kept me away from sharing for so many years. The fear. The scrutiny. The "what the heck is this girl doing" blog opinions. Fast forward through years & those opinions are just that... OPINIONS!
I like to say my journey of KK began 8 years ago, well actually 9 years ago. The moment I found out I was pregnant with our first baby. 23 years old, just finishing school & no idea what life was going to throw my way.
I was 23 and had a PLAN. It makes me laugh now because isn’t that how life works for many, you have an idea of your life and this amazing PLAN, but then something/someone throws a wrench in that plan & you think your life is about to crumble. Well the ”wrench” in my plan was exactly what I never knew I NEEDED. Life for KK, well let’s say it changed & I mean BIG change! I went from medical field everyday, absolutely no life outside of that...to all of a sudden a stay at home mom who NEVER wanted to leave her baby.
The anxiety! Up until that point in my life I never felt the overwhelming "feels" of anxiety, it was terrible! Long story short...WE (my husband and I) made it work, we adapted, we struggled, but most importantly we did it together!
Little did I know, 9 years later I would be here. Sitting at my farmhouse kitchen table putting my life into words for everyone to read, while my 3 daughters are laughing, yelling & playing in the background. Yes, 3 little girls...that story is for another blog! 9 years ago...I had the crafty/design side of KK buried deep, safe to say I didn't even know it really even existed at that point. I am sure glad that side eventually came to light, because friends that is the MOMENT that it all started to make sense.
